Colonel Edward JOHN OBE (Late Royal Artillery) Passed away after a hard battle in Hospice on Friday 19th December aged 94 years. Dearest husband of Pamela Shimwell-Mayo MBE for over 27 years, adored father of Charles, step father to Fiona and Tania, grandfather to Elizabeth, Harry, Chris, Ollie, Sam and Patrick. A service to celebrate John’s life will take place at St. Patrick’s Church, Jurby on Friday 9th January at 1pm. Radcliffe

Peacefully at home on Thursday 18th December 2025, with her loving daughter Lynsey, by her side, Helen Radcliffe aged 76 years.

Nanna Helen was much loved by her daughters Lynsey and Julie, son-in-law Steve, and grandchildren Alice, Alannah, Tom, Tallulah and Lorelei. A loving mum to Robert and mother-in-law to Vicky. Much loved by her brother Richard and late brother Ewan. Adored by Svitlana, Andrii, Natalia, Yurii, Markian and Martha who Helen welcomed safe from the ravages of war in Ukraine.

Affectionally known for her kind nature and love of cooking including glorious christening, wedding and Christmas cakes, with her final masterpiece proudly delivered to her good friend, before she quietly drifted to sleep. Bacon Queen and Cream Tea Maker to thousands of golfers over two decades at Glen Truan.

Known as Mrs Wilson to her former pupils at Ramsey Grammar School, Helen had an immense love for the children she taught. Helen will be sadly missed by her close family, friends and former colleagues.

Alice, Steve and Lynsey extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited, supported and held Helen in their thoughts.

A service of celebration for Helen's life will be held at 2pm on Saturday 10th January 2026 at St Bridget’s Church in Bride. Wilkinson

Barbara, aged 93 years of Ballaugh. Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Nobles hospital on the 13th December 2025. She will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. The funeral service will take place at St Mary de Ballaugh church at 10am on Friday 16th January, followed by private family burial. Janet Starkey, aged 71 years. Passed away peacefully at Beaconsfield Nursing Home on Sunday 14th December. Much loved wife of the late Ralph Starkey, loving Mum of Eileen, Lionel, Richard and Peter and sister of Mick. Beloved Nana to Paul & Lucy and great Nana to Mila, Everly, Orla, Aria, and Elodie and loving mother-in-law of Armon. Mary Margaret ‘Ann’ Skinner, aged 85 years. Passed away peacefully at Nobles Hospital with her family by her side, on Monday 15th December. Much-loved wife of Stan, loving Mum to Janice, Lyn and Sandra and mother-in-law to Sid. Loved sister to Hazel and the late Johnny and Eddie. Treasured Nana to Zoe and Casey and great-nana to Harrison and Archer. Ann will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
